First, download and install the program on your computer. Launch it and you will see the main interface is very simple as the below picture shows. 2 ways to capture and record screen are provided. Before starting the recording, you can select the Screen Recorder function and set the capture mode, output video quality/format and the destination folder.
Record Mode: Full Screen and Region. Full screen enables to you capture the whole screen while Region lets you record only the very area you need by dragging the cursor to choose the needed region.
Video Quality: You can choose from Low Quality, Medium Quality and High Quality for the recording. Of course, the better the quality is, the larger the video files will be.
Output Format: AVI, FLV and WMV are the supported out video formats. Any of the 3 is popular and supported by regular portable device, video sharing sites, etc.
Destination Folder: The default folder to save the recorded videos is C:\Users\asus\Documents\ScreenGrabber. You can also customize one so you can find the recorded videos more quickly.
When all is OK, click the red camera icon on the right of the interface to start recording your screen. For Full Screen mode, the program will automatically capture the entire screen. For Region mode, it will let you drag a region on your screen after you click the red record button. A toolbar like below will then appear. You can click Rec to begin the recording or re-choose the recording region or just cancel the recording.
During the recording, you can pause and resume it anytime you like. And the toolbar will show you how much time the video goes.
When you think all the recording work is done, you can click the Tick icon to save the screen recording. And go to the preset destination folder the find the video you just create from your screen activity. You can then rename it, play it or share it with others as you like.
Run Screen Grabber Free and choose the capture mode, output image format and destination folder to save the captured screenshots. You can set the preparation time before the action starts and specify to Open Folder, Copy to Clipboard or Open in Image Editor after the screenshots have been taken.
For Manual Screenshot, there are 3 capture modes:
Region: In the Region mode, you can drag to select any part of the screen to get a customized screenshot.
Window: When you choose this mode, you will be able to capture the very part of an active window.
Full Screen: This mode enables you to capture screenshots of the whole screen in 1 click.
For Automatic Screenshot, only the Full Screen mode is supported. This capture way lets you set schedules screenshots taking task with a customized interval. For example, take 5 screenshots every 6 seconds.
Output Format: JPG, PNG and GIF 3 output image formats are supported. Just choose the one you need.
Destination Folder: The snapshots will be saved to C:\Users\asus\Documents\ScreenGrabber in default. If you want to store them in other places, you can simply click to specify one.
When all the settings are OK, click the red camera-like button to start taking screenshots of your screen. For Window and Region modes in Manual Screenshot, you will need to choose the area/window you need to capture. For other ways, there is no need for you to take any other actions. The screenshots will then be saved to the output directory you previously set. You can then find them on your hard drive and just enjoy them.
