logoPart 1. Preparation

Screen Grabber Pro is a nice tool for digital users to carry out simultaneous recording of screen and webcam. It can also be utilized for making video presentations, tutorials, and more. It's also suitable for recording webinars, live streams on web, video conversations, and more. To facilitate this application, please follow the instructions to work it out.

1.1 Activate the Program

First, download the program from the above button and install it on your computer. You will see the main interface as illustrated below. There are flexible ways for you to capture and record the screen:

You could go for the recording mode that's suitable for your situation:

- Region: It lets you drag a region on your screen and record it. You're able to record a particular part, instead of the entire screen.

- Full Screen: Record video in the whole screen.

- Around Mouse: This option is specially designed for making tutorials, as it will focus on recording the area that contains your mouse and include your mouse movements all the way.

- Webcam: An option to record yourself solely, but you may also add the webcam into the recording area on the screen.

- Only Audio: An option for users to record the audio only, with no video.

1.2 Configure Audio Input

adjust audio settingsYou're able to get started with screen recording after selecting a suitable option from above. And if you prefer, you may also adjust the audio settings before moving to screencast. These settings help you to include sound or microphone voice into screen recording. You can include both system sound and microphone voice, making it suitable for recording a demonstration with some background music. You need to adjust the volume to ensure your voice won't be overlapped by the music.

1.3 Configure Video Output

If you desire to save your recorded video on different devices, like the portable players, you can choose a format relevant to your device, such as AVI, MP4, WMV, WEBM, MKV, 3GP, MPG, SWF, VOB, and FLV by forwarding to "Settings" - "Options" - "Recording".

logoPart 2. Record Your Screen

Once you have confirmed with the capture region, click "Start" on the top menu to initialize recording. You will see a pop-up time counter for you to get ready. And then you will see a frame around the capture region with a toolbar below it. You're enabled to control the recording progress, using the options on this toolbar. Note: it will be included into capture if you're doing full screen recording. You could hide the toolbar with keyboard combination of "Ctrl + Alt + E" and press again to show the toolbar.

You could click the "Pause" button to stop recording and click again to resume recording. You may also adjust the volume of the system sound and microphone voice. If you want to add your webcam during recording, you can simply work it out by clicking the camera icon on the toolbar.

logoPart 3. Make Annotations during Screencast

As you may notice, there's an annotation option on the toolbar during recording, giving you the convenience to highlight any part or to add your comments. In order to do this, click the pen icon on the right-end to expand a list of annotation selections. From here you're able to access the following (from left to right):

Rectangle, Circle: set a frame with given shape around the portion that you want to emphasize, you're able to customize the thickness, color, etc.

Line: Draw a straight line on the screen, it could be used for separating two parts or for other purposes.

Arrow: Use it to point at a specific object or to connect two relevant stuffs.

Free Hand: Draw on the screen in the way you prefer.

Highlight: It's more like a brush to highlight an area with chosen color while you could adjust the transparency. It can also be used to hide sensitive information during recording.

Text: Add text in desired font style, size and color to the screen.

Redo: Cancel the previous step.

Rubber: Erase your drawings. If you want to quit all annotations on current screen, just press the pen icon on toolbar to do so.

logoPart 4. Finish and Publish Recording

4.1 Publish and Manage Recorded Videos

When you're done with all recording work, you could click on "Publish" button (red rectangle) to finish the screencast. Once published, It will be loaded to the task list on main interface while you are able to play, upload, locate the file and more. And if you have multiple videos recorded, you can arrange them inside the list or rename according to your needs.

4.2 Upload Recorded Videos

If you're willing to share the recorded video to YouTube or your ftp, you could access the option called "Upload". By entering the details of your YouTube/FTP account, you can upload your video to designated location. Once configured, the software will memorize your settings, therefore you can upload your video by clicking one button the next time.

logoPart 5. More Useful Options (Optional)

Despite the essential recording featre, there're also several other features for enriching your experience of sceen recording. Find any one that appeals to you and following the instructions.

5.1 Task Scheduler

This function is for users who need to record an event that happens on their screen in the future. By going to "Settings" - "Task Scheduler" on top menu, you're able to configure the time point to start recording automatically. You may also go further to configure the duration, date schedule (if you need to perform recording on daily or weekly basis) and more. Within a short while, you could finish your plan and leave the rest for the software to work out. It's beneficial for the use of monitoring screen, recording live shows on web, recording webinar that you're not able to participate, etc.

5.2 Screenshot Maker

This versatile program also involves a snapshot built-in, letting you quickly capture any region of your screen and to edit on the image before saving it. You can direclty click on "Screenshot" icon on top menu, and then your mouse will turn into a crosshair, giving you the convenience to drag a region on current screen. When you release your mouse, it will capture the region with toolbars around it. From the horizontal toolbar, you may annotate on the image with rich variety of shapes, texts, lines, arrows and more. And from the vertical one, there're options for saving your image into desired formats, delivering to social network, connecting to printer and more.
